FIBA World Championship

You have to love Durant's aggressiveness throughout the tournament thusfar (and as I type this he just hit a jumper off an inbounds pass), but somebody needs to step up today if the USA is going to win.  Turkey is on their home floor and is very talented.  Hedo Turkoglu can score in bunches and Ersan Ilyasova is one of my favorite young player in the NBA, just a super talent.  The guards can score, Onan is a tough matchup, and Turkey has plenty of big men to throw around.  I'm hoping that Westbrook or Rose can put together a good game to help the USA in a pretty tough environment.  This crowd is a hell of a lot more tough to play against than any these players have seen before.

Note, Durant is hitting everything in the first quarter.  Maybe he wants to do it himself.  Maybe Curry can step up, big shot just now.

College Football week 2 does not disappoint.  Alabama, solid.  Ohio State, solid.  Florida rebounds in a BIG way, same with Oklahoma.  Virginia Tech stinks it up.  Sorry, Boise, but that hurt you more than anyone.
If I had to speculate from this moment (and hell, cause I feel like it), I'd pick winners as follows:
ACC: Miami.  Jacory Harris looked very good against Ohio State, that is, when he wasn't throwing picks.  I don't think any ACC defense is good enough to beat him like that again.
Big East: Pitt.  But I don't care.  This whole conference looks awful.
Big Ten: Ohio State, but Iowa will scare them, and Wisconsin might beat them.
Big 12: Texas.  They're the best team.  Apologies to Landry Jones and Oklahoma who looked MUCH better against FSU.
Pac 10: Stanford.  They're a talented team and I'd say the best coached in the conference.
SEC: Alabama.  Like I said yesterday before the domination of a pretty good Penn State team, nobody can match this team's talent.

I was wrong - about Oregon.  Tennessee isn't exactly a difficult opponent, but they handled adversity and dominated.  Good football team.

What's wrong with the Colts.  Down 20-10 right now against Houston.

Watch Nadal v Djokovic tonight.  I wish it had been Nadal v Federer, so that the win would be that much more special for Nadal who is playing better than ever.  But Djokovic is a tough out.  This game could go five sets, but I think Nadal is too focused to lose now.
Predictions today.  Starts with Nadal finishing it out.  Career grand slam, huge.
USA (up by 8 in 2nd quarter) wins today in Turkey.  Durant 30+ again.
Packers by more than a TD at Philadelphia.
Washington with an upset of Dallas at home.
